Welcome to the motorhome tours of Gill & Alan, the Wandering Wine Tasters – we wander around Europe in our Hymer motorhome visiting wine producing areas tasting and sampling the wines then purchasing the ones we liked. As well as wine tasting we travel to American Square Dance events across Europe, sometimes hundreds of other American Square Dancers are there to dance.
Lockdown is now a distant memory, we are back travelling around Europe sampling the delights of different wines and gastronomic delicacies. We have recently returned from another motorhome tour through France and Spain; earlier this year we travelled to Germany and Czechia for a mix of square dancing and holiday.
In this motorhome travel website you will find details of routes that we travelled, places we stayed – with some reviews highlighting the good and bad things about the particular campsite or aire. Generally the UK, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland provide relatively poor places for motorhomes to stay overnight when compared to Europe and France in particular. Most places where motorhomes can stay are really caravan sites, and they provide the facilities that caravans want, rather than what motorhomes want and need.
